Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the Momentum apps with the hosted Momentum server run by João Vitor Viegas Rêgo (“we”, “us”). By signing in, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted service.
1. The service
Momentum is a task manager made of a Mac app, a terminal app and a server that keeps your tasks. The hosted server is a personal project, offered free of charge to accounts we invite. We may change, pause or end the service, or end an invitation, at any time.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. Keep your devices and those accounts secure, and tell us at jvrviegas@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your Momentum account.
3. Your content
Your tasks, notes and other content stay yours. You allow us to store and process them only as needed to run Momentum for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you put in Momentum, and for having the right to put it there.
4. Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. Momentum reads your events, read-only, only to count your meetings in Plan Today, and you can disconnect at any time. How that data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy. Your use of Google's services stays subject to Google's own terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Momentum to break the law, to harm others, or to disrupt, overload or get unauthorized access to the service or other people's data. Do not try to get around its sign-in or limits.
6. Open source
Momentum's source code is available under the MIT License, which governs the code. These terms govern only the hosted service.
7. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Momentum is a tool to help you plan; you remain responsible for your schedule and your commitments. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, time or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under the law and that cannot be limited by agreement.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Momentum at any time and ask us to delete your account and data. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the service ends.
10. Changes and contact
If these terms change, we will update them here and change the date at the top. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms. Questions: jvrviegas@gmail.com.
